Why you gotta be so hard????
My 4cyl 95' pickup that has had idle problems has finally kicked my arse. After changing MAF & AFT sensors I discovered that my intake gasket was blown. Foolishly I thought I would be able to put a new one on my self. Now keep in mind I have rebuilt 3 diffrent motors & never have had this kind of trouble.
So I buy my gasket & begin taking the 7 intake to block bolts out, then I take the 2 intake to motor mount bolts out, I remove my EGR pipe & any hoses & electrical stuff that appears to be in the way. I still can not get this think out of the truck. the problem seems to be that it wont slide far enough out to clear the studs on the block. I have been at this for about 6 hours & still can't get the dang intake out of the truck. I would be satisfied if I could just clear the studs, then I could put the new gasket on & close it back up.
Is it always this hard or am I doing something wrong. I'll be back at it early tomorrow so any suggestions will be greaty appreciated
