Lights

I'm looking into getting another set of lights for my 95 Pathfinder. The stock 9004 45/65 lamps don't seem to light it up enough for me. I looked at Silverstars and they're the same wattage. PIAA's cost too much and hear don't last long. Any bright lights out there that lasts at a good price?

Also thinking of fog and driving lights...any suggestions?

Thanks.

It's not the bulbs, it's the wiring. The wiring they used is like 22 gauge(way tiny), it needs to be more like 16 gauge for better light output. Try re-wiring your headlights with a separate relay for low beams and high beams, you'll notice a huge difference.

I re-wired my headlights on my 87, really didn't notice a difference but I was using the hella european headlights with the replaceable H-4 bulbs 80 watt low/100watt high, I personally like the silverstar bulbs haven't had any problems with the m in 2 different vehicles the PIAA's are just too much money and all those purple tint bulbs they can keep

I've been looking around and the ones that appeal to me right now are the ones called "Type-R". They're 45/65 but seem like 80/110. I guy at work owns a 2004 Spec-V and that's what he's got and really likes them. Initially, he bought PIAA's and one blew out on him after a month. Got free replacements and they burned out pretty quick, so he turned to the "TypeR". Type-R's cost $40CAD for the pair. Silverstars... they're another consideration.

Thanks to all for your input and suggestions.

It doesn't really matter what they say the wattage equals out to, if it has 45/65 filaments, that's all you're going to get out of them. Replacing the wiring and using separate relays to power the lights is the most efficient way to make stock wattage bulbs brighter.
