higher suspension on Pathfinder 2001 SE

Owner of 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving I noticed many other pathfinders seem to have higher suspensions. Like the other day i pulled right next to a pathfinder.. se (could of been a model year younger than mine) The front end of his truck was a good 7 inches higher than mine. I notice this with other pathfinders. The Suspensions seems to be in good order. My truck doesnt bounce up and down... and handles most bumps well, and if i push down on the front it bounces only once.
But i like the way the other pathfinders look and my car does seem to low to the ground.

Is there a way to raise the suspension without replacing or removing shock absorbers, in others words raise the my truck higher in the front with the suspension system that is present???

You would need to get new coil springs to lift your 2001.

Its possible your front springs are starting to sag, but that wouldn't cause the truck to bounce over bumps. Usually the bouncing effect comes from worn shocks or struts which are in the front of the Pathfinder.

OK
changing the front springs maybe be beyond an average DIY project.
I wonder how much a replacement will cost. I was unable to find out the going rates on google.

re

Id like to know also, from what i understand there is no lift kits for the R50 pathfinders. But i doubt springs would sag that much let alone 7" in a few years.

4x4parts.com sells a 2" coil spring suspension lift for R50's. So does BDS and Old Man Emu.

What size tires do you have?
Mine cames (used) with 255/60/16's....parked next to another with much higher sidewalls, it makes a noticeable difference in looks.
Not 7" difference, but maybe 1 or so...

when i bought mine it had 255 70R 16s i think its supposed to have 255 65R 16 Also i am wondering if i can use Titan wheels n tires on my pathfinder, i kinda doubt it cause Titan 18" wheels n tires are 32" in OD and im sure the path isnt that high enough to clear them. Also, id like to know how much are lift kits for the pathfinder and how good it is.

I think I read somewhere that the Titan's (and probably Armada's) have a different bolt pattern than all other Nissan trucks and SUV's. I know there was something about the Titan wheels that made them not fit other Nissan vehicles.

yeah I had bought my Pathfinder used back in Dec 04. It has 66,168 miles on it. Now has 70,100. T

They are Bridgestone 255/65R/16 tires on it. I might of exaggerated a little when i said 7 inches it more like 4 inches lower than average pathfinders i see on the road.

According to tirerack and other sources, bolt pattern is the same 6x139.7 and has a 3" bore (hub size) so i dont see why it wouldnt fit. i can see the tall tires not fitting but as fars as bolt patterns its supposedly the same. From what i understand, its the new 05+ frontier and pathfinders that u cant use, cause i think its supposed to be 6x4.5(114.3) and not 6x5.5(139.7) like ours. I guess ill find out tommorow, i work at a Nissan dealer so i will look up the data, sorry if i wasnt knowledgeble enough, i am a Nissan 300ZX (90-96 models) fanatic and new to this pathfinder thing.
