[b]lately the remotes for the keyless entry has not been working properly. I changed the batteries on both remotes. I have to press the keys many times before they work. I am beginning to wonder if it is the receiver rather than the transmitter. Any suggestions?[b]

If you live in the city with lots of population, that usually comes with lots of RF frequencies in the air from alarm systems, cel phones, radio stations, 2way radio's, airport communications, you name it. All of this RF noise can cause havoc with your remotes. If your problem happens when you're out in the country, and you're sure the new batteries you put in are good, you could try reprogramming the remotes to the car. The procedure should be in your manual. If that doesn't work, perhaps the receiver on your car is bad. What car are you driving?
