1995 Pathfinder trailer wiring harness trouble

Hi, I just bought a Tap brand wiring harness for my 95 pathy, as to get my trailer lights working, and the plugs are totally wrong, its the kind that has the little black box attached, is this really necessary? Or is there an easier way, or a better type of harness to install?........I have never installed one of these, and dont know exactly what I need to do.......

Tried searching Google much?

Five seconds of searching and I got lots of links on how to wire trailer wiring...it's simple electrical stuff. If you have too much of a problem trying to do it yourself, have a hitch shop or auto electrical shop do it for you. It shouldn't cost much, it's a very basic and simple wiring job.

Thanks, but doing the job itself is not what I'm having trouble with, its finding the right harness for my truck.....I bought one that was supposed to be for a Pathfinder, and it even said so on the package, but the plugs that were supposed to plug into my wiring were different, I guess I will try another brand and see if that will work.........thanks.

I bougth an adaptor from Joe at www.everythingnissan.com (call for faster service 1-888-216-5328) pretty cheap... It plugged in perfectly... two connectors (a male and a female) and wires going out to power the trailer.

Maybe you could take the one you bought back and order one?
