BW(Bill) NissanForums Newbie Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 1	97 PU XE whine in 4 high 1. Can anyone tell me how to check the transfer case fluid on a 97 PU XE, 4 cyl, 5spd manual trans.? It has started a slight whine/whistle when in 4 high this winter. (never been checked either). 2. Is it much of a deal to replace the pinion seal on the rear end? It started leaking after carrying a pretty heavy load.(3200lbs!) Thanks for any help.
