Belt Conditioner

Does anyone know of a good belt conditioner spray. The v-belts on my engine are fairly new, but sorta "squeek" on the pulleys. I have tried "GUNK" anti-slip and belt conditioner, but it doesn't really do the trick. It shuts the belts up for a few seconds, but then the squeek comes back.

Or is this just a belt tension thing. Now, the belt tensioners are pretty much at there max and the belts seem pretty tight, but... ?

Any thoughts?

Permatex belt dressing. Works great! My belts haven't squeeled for 4 months now and they aren't over a year old.

Now that I think about it, anti seize compound would work too.

Try Vaseline if you want them to run REAL quiet.

Are you really serious about the vaseline, or are you setting me up for my next post titled "How Do I Remove Vaseline from My Belts"????

I think it's a set-up! You'll stop the squeak (maybe) but the belts might not actually turn anything either.

This seems to be a common issue on the trucks... mine started squealing again back in January and I was able to tighten it to get it to stop.

Ford told me to use white lithium grease on the serpentine belt on a Taurus I once had. Damned if it didn't work!

I thought you're not suppose to put grease; are any of these belt dressing harmful to the belt itself?
