Which Ignition Coil is Intake, which is Exhaust Coil?

I have an '89 Nissan z24 engine, and want to verfiy the two ignition wires are going to the correct ignition coils. I know the red-booted wire goes to the intake coil, but how do I know the wires were going to the correct coils to begin with? I hate to experiment and switch wires to see, does anyone know definitively? Three different manuals will not tell me which coil is which, only that the color coded wires indicate which coil is which......

The intake coil wiring harness has four wires and the exhaust coil has three wires. That's the wiring plug attached to the power transistor dealie on the side of the coils. I got that from the electrical system wiring diagrams in my Chilton's manual.

Thanks 88pathoffroad! I just verified that the two coils are wired correctly according to the diagram you found, now I know the difference!
