AC Goes on and Off HELP!!!

Hey Guys

I have a 2000 Frontier Crew Cab. I am having problems with my AC going on and off. It started doing this last summer. It seems that when it wants to work it will stay on with no trouble. Then there are times when it will kick on and off, almost like its low on refrigerant. Other times it won't work at all. Its very inconsistant. Anyway, I took it to a dealer and they "fixed" it relacing all the hoses and such. $385.00 later and no sooner do I pull out of the dealer it starts going on and off again. When I go back they say its bad relay somewhere and want to charge me another 150.00 to fix it. Any ideas where this relay might be and if its something i can fix myself? I asked them and they said they would have to fix it. I won't let them touch my truck again as they ripped me off to begin with.

Thanks Guys
