electrical problem/question

A friend of mine has a nissan pickup, not sure of exact year it's around a 95 or so, anyway his battery keeps dying, if he disconnects the negative terminal the truck can sit for 3 weeks and when the terminal is reconnected it will start right up, but if you leave the terminal on and say drive to work at the end of the day it will be dead, I figured something was drawing power with the key off so today we disconnected the neg terminal and hooked a test light in line, the light was on with the key off and doors shut etc, I started pulling fuses and came to the fuse for the dome light when I removed the fuse the current draw stopped, my question is what may be wrong with the dome light that would make it draw current even when the dome light is off?? Thanks.

Door pin switch may be grounding out somewhere...

This needs to be posted somewhere OTHER than the "4x4 and Off-Road" section...I'll move it for you.
