My daughter has a 94 pathfinder and she now has to shift it manually. She has to start out in 1 or 2nd. In drive it seems to start out in 3rd and hardly moves. In 2nd it will shift from 1st to 2nd. Once she get up to speed she can shift into drive and it seems ok. Can anyway tell me where I should begin to look for this problem. The tranny was rebuilt about 10 k miles ago.

There are problems with that transmission...I have testing procedures for the 87-89 RE4R01A tranny, but I'm unsure if they're the same as for the 90-up trannies. Here's the info anyway...
