Radio display just went out 99 pathfinder

The Radio display simply went out today? Can this be a fuse or a wiring problem, or is it internal to the radio? thanks

Do your dash lights still work? Are you sure the dimmer isn't turned all the way down?

dash lights are fine, as are the radio's backgroud, engineer at work told me it's the lcd's background lightbulb or the lcd itself.

my 95 stock tape deck are out. I've very sure it's an internal problem as I've shaken it with it still plugged in. I've put in a mp3 player.

My radio display light is out too. Every light in the dash is working (including the rest of the radio illumination) except the one for the station/clock display lcd. I figure my '98 fronty has the same radio you have so if you find a way to fix that light please post it here. Without a dial light, it makes tuning the radio at night a real guessing game.

This also happened with my 99 Maxima. Use to come and go. then stopped working for good.

seems to come and go now, or at least it came back on, just as mysteriously as it went out. does anyone know the reason, it wouldn't make sense that there is a seperate LCD power wire going into the radio that can be loose???
