Question New guy with wheel question!!!

Hello everyone, I figured that this was the web site of web sites to find my answer.

I have a 95 Pathfinder (which I love and would only get rid of for another ). I'm looking at buy a set of Frontier SC rims (yes the cool 17" ones). It's coming with factory tires (size 265/55/17) and I'm wanting to know if the wheels are offset enough to fit under my Pathfinder? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks
Todd

Judging by the prices those particular wheels go for on eBay auctions ($125+ each),I would guess that these 8x17's are very popular with the early Pathy crowd. On my '94 I've run both aftermarket 8'x15" steel wheels with a 4.75" backspacing and a (presently) a set of late Toyota Tacoma 7'x15" alloys with 4.5" backspacing, and both have the right negative offset for looks, clearance, and handling, Good luck landing a set.

Hey thanks for the information, I also had a friend that works @ the local Nissan Dealership tell me that she put them on here 97 (I know - diffent body style) and the the only trouble she's had was on really hard turns to the left, the tires would rub slightly and the the tires are very close to the strut (not a worry for me of course, 95's have a shock, not a strut). Other any that my only worry is trying to get a deal on the rims (and tires).

Say, while i'm thinking of it, does anyone know what that rim and tire weighs? I've got the standard crome factory rim on it currently and wondering if the SC is going to be heavier or lighter (lighter would seem logical due to it being a aluminum alloy).

Anyways I'm thinking if I get a set of SC rims, the next thought would be a engine swap - I'm thinking, "Hey I got the rims, why not THE motor !!!!!"
