I have a 99.5 Pathfinder that just now started leaking power steering fluid. I climbed under the truck and found fluid around where the rack and pinion has like a block mounted to it. The steering linkage looks like it runs into the block. Would anyone have an idea of which part might be leaking? Is this a common problem? I've had no steering problems but I am leaving fluid underneath the truck so it's a decent leak. Thanks for help provided.

Sounds like it blew an outer seal on you. Needs a rebuilt or new rack, probably.

Nope. Never had to do that on any of my vehicles. Rebuilt racks are pretty decently priced, AFAIK.
