How to change in cabin air conditioning filter

Dose anyone have instructions on changing the in cabin filter on a 2001 Pathfinder/QX4? I bought one today and removed the glovebox then became stumped. Where do you go from there?

When you get the glovebox off it is in the hvac behind there. It goes in vertical, up and down, and sits in there lengthwise with the vehicle. There is a clip at the top and bottom and it slides out. I think that you have 2 pieces to the filter. One sits on top of the other and slides in as one unit. Hope this helps.

It does not seem to have enough room to do what you suggest- I will keep trying and call the dealer today.

Did you figure it out? I just did this yesterday on my 2001 PF. It did not come from the factory but adding it was very easy. Are you changing the filter or adding it for the first time?

Talking Air filter replacement

I did it today myself. Had to call the dealer to get instructions but it was pretty easy after all. The QX4 has the filters standard. They were filthy after 2 yrs and 15K miles. My olny problem was that I broke the frame on both trying to fit them in. I wonder why they did not make it one filter instead of two?
