02 Frontier Problem

I am new to this site am hoping I can get some help.I purchased a 02 ,4x4,v6,ex, extended cab with 30,000 miles.I am having acceleration and deacceleration problems at low rpms, such as 30 mph in 4th gear,1500 rpm, when I let off the gas it continues at same rpm for about 2 seconds and then when I accelerate it takes off rough. If I am accelerating around 1800 rpm and let off the gas and push in the clutch at the same it will climb another 200 to 300 rpms before deaccelerating. The dealer in my area says all the trucks do this, was wanting to know if all the trucks do this as it is a little bit awkward on slick roads.

Disconnect the Positive side of the Battery. Disconnect the Throttle Position sensor..
Reconnect the battery and start the vehicle. The Check Engine light should come on and the ECU will go into standby to ensure that the vehicle can get somewhere for service. It should accel upto 1800-2500rpm and no further...
Shut OFF, Disconnect the POS term of Battery... Reconnect the TPS ... Wait 15-25minutes. Reconnect the Battery..
Now go drive it like YOU want it to perform.. It takes about 100 miles MAX for the ECU to LEARN all habits and the Light to go out.
YET,,, the Light does not always work that way... Trust me on this
So if it does not, the SAME dealer should reset it as a courtesy for FREE.
