The drop in Nissan one is pretty good. I would recommend though to the get an under the rail liner an then put the bed rail caps on the truck. I've seen the sides of over the rail liners warp alot but I don't ever think i've seen the idividual rail caps change in shape.

Do you guys know a good drop-in bedliner i can pick up for my 04 fronty? I'd like to get an overtherail liner! Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe
I'd go with Rhino Lining. It's sprayed on and eventually becomes a 1/4" thick piece of rubber. I've seen drop in bed liners after a few years and gets rusty and scratched up.

the over-rail one warps because they tighten the cam locks too hard! they did that to my 1st liner, the second one (warranty) I put it and its been about 15 years now and no warping

I'd go with the spray in liner. It's more expensive, but well worth it. I've had both on three different trucks and I'd swear by the spray in liner.

FWIW, I probably would have gone with the spray-on liner if mine didn't have the factory under rail Nissan liner with the rail caps. I won't replace what I have 'cause it looks fine and the under the rail is supposed to limit the amount of movement (that's what I've been told anyway).
I have no idea where to get an over the rail liner, but with the bad rep they've been getting, I would think one would be cheap if you could find it.
Good Luck.

I think this was a big problem with the over the rail liners because they tended to move a lot from wind getting up under the rails. Under the rail is supposed to help some. Plus, you can buy a thin mesh that you can put under the liner to keep it from scratching through the bed paint if it does move.

I initially wanted the drop-in liner because it would be easier to slide things around, ie., load and unload things. You can always tie them down when you don't want them to move. But with the spray-in liner I was under the impression that it was gritty and desined for non-slick surfaces. I am I wrong in this assumption?? Thanks...

Every spray-in bed I've seen (there are several trucks at work with the spray-in) has a rough finish that does indeed make it more difficult for things to slide around; that's supposed to be one of the selling features. But, I saw a TV show on that material once that implied that it could be sprayed on rough or smooth; it was simply a matter of the technique used to apply it. If that's your only objection to spray-in, you may want to give one or two of the places a call and ask if they can spray it in smooth. Things may not slide as easily as on the plastic liner, but it may be good enough.

I would go with the spray-in, it will be more expensive, but as somebody said above, its worth it!!and you can have it aprayed under or over the rail, smoth or rough, your choice, as for brand Ill go with Linex, I think its life time guaranteed no matter who owns the vehicle...
