Possibly buying an '82 Datsun 720 Pickup. What should I look for?

He said it's in good mechanical condition. Everything works fine, there's rust, and the floorboards have been patched. He replaced the clutch and brakes. What all should I look for (common problems, etc.) when I go to take a look at it? Also, where can I find body products (such as steel tube bumpers, grilles, etc.) for this? Any help is appreciated.

Also, what all should I know about lift kits and oversized wheels and tires? I'd like to get a life (would 2" be good?), but what size wheels/tires should I get? I'd be driving this to school and work, but I'd also like to go off-road everynow and then so I'd kind of like something that would be a good mix between the two (i.e. not a rough ride).

You can get 30x10.5s to fit with minor inner fender mods. But the best size tire for performance is a 27inch on a 14 inch rim.

2wds have 14 and 4wd have 15inch rims.

2 inch lift is best. You can go either body or new aarms. or both..
