Unhappy Problem with Fuel Pump - '87 Nissan Pickup

I am not getting any fuel. When I dump gas in the carburator it will run. I have power to the fuel pump, fuse and power to the fuel pump relay. My book shows two wires going to the pump but there are three posts on the fuel tank. The truck was running last spring when I parked it but now there is nothing. It turns over but doesn't have gas to it. Called the garage and they said to bring it in because there are so many relays that could be involved but we're three feet deep in snow and thirty miles from the garage, and this is my plow truck. HELP!!!

First off, it's TBI (throttle body injection, two injectors), not a carb. Second off, tried changing the fuel filter yet? That's a cheap and easy thing to try first. If it's that cold and your old filter had any water in it or just plain bad fuel, it could be frozen solid.

The three wiring posts going into the gas tank are positive and negative power wires for the pump itself, then you have the sending unit wire for the gas guage.

Fuel line test

Can you pull the fuel line off and place it in a jar and turn the ignition on and see if fuel comes out of the line?
be careful not to get any fuel near the spark plug wires as you could ignite the fuel. Might want to disconnect the coil wires and then try it . but be careful.

If fuel is present then you can test the fuel pressure at that point and begin some more trouble shooting.

good luck!!

the sensors could be corroded, and also check the fuse for the fuel pump it might have blown.
