Basically, I have put it down to either a 2005 MO, 2005 Pathfinder or not sure what else. I do not want to spend more than $29k and would love peoples opinions pro and con. I am just worried about getting outside of my warranty period with Nissan (3yrs?) and getting hge repair bills. How mujch is extended warranties?
Help!!

Extended will cost you between 1K - 1.7K depending if you go for 5-7 years. Keep in mind, if you intend on putting miles on the car, get the 100K option. I personally ignored the years of the warranty and focused on miles. Nissan is a reliable car and if you take care of it, it can see 200K miles before a radical problem.
Yes, you can get a Pathfinder for 29K. I got mine loaded with Nav, DVD, leather, Bose speakers and such, but if you choose cloth seats and remove some items, you can be at that price point. I think what you may find is that the both vehicles (Murano/Pathfinder) will be at the same price when it comes down to it. In fact, I almost got an Armada. It's 1% with the 2004's and the dealers are VERY agressive on pricing here. I've seen in Texas at least 1/2 a dozen Armada's at 33-35K with a base package, cloth, CD, etc.
In regards to the Murano, I drove it and liked it. However, the Pathfinder looks tougher (read manly-man) and less like a minivan. It's all a matter of your style and taste, I really like both but the third row seating and the storage space convinced me the Pathfinder is the right car (for now). I've personally always had a challenge with the 'Murano' brand name. Maybe it is the way we talk in Texas but it sounds out like "Morano". It turns out it is the name of an Itialian glass maker. Stupid trivia for you, from a slow talking Texan.
Cheers and good luck!
