Question '02 frontier 6th cylinder misfire?

I have an '02 supercharged frontier with 68,000 miles on it. Recently the check engine light has been flashing especially when i'm in 5th gear going up hills.

I took it to auto zone and they diagnosed it as being a 6th gear misfire. I replaced the 6th cylinder plug to check it but it did not work. I am going to try wires and cap and after that i don't know what else.

Hopefully its not the injectors because that looks like a real pain in the butt. Anyone else experienced this? HELP!!!!

THANKS

Just be sure to use OEM parts when you go changing ignition components. Call www.everythingnissan.com at 1-888-216-5328 for a discount.

I'd probably get a little better diagnostic before you change too much. You could be dealing with a dirty fuel injector, dirty fuel filter, etc. These codes sometimes don't clearly point to the problem - just a symptom.

Thanks, Just ordered cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and fuel filter from them (saved over 70 bucks). Hope it does the trick.

I hope that helps! If not at least you can rule out the maintenance issues before getting started on diagnosics. I've been dealing with Joe at Scottsdale for years and he'll be your best friend if you're in to DIY car repair!
