1990 Pickup: Shop Manual?

Hi,

Just One More Question...(in my best Peter Falk imitation)

Which Shop Manual should I get? I'm mainly interesting in fixing Little Things (like the headlights), but might end up rebuilding the top-end.

Options seem to be Chilton's on CD (specific for 90?), or the Hayes 89-92.

Any thoughts, advice, recommendations?

Lloyd

My Chilton's is relatively complete. I like it. I've had Haynes manuals and they tend to suck. I prefer a paper manual over a CD, that way I can finger through pages while in the garage.

Thanks for the reply!

I just got a Hayes manual (the one that covers 1980-97 or something) from Lordco 'cuz that's all they had. Not TOO bad, but as far as I can see there are NO headlight relays (?) and there's NO MENTION of the speedo (which is something I need fixed).

Still, better than nothing and the price was right ($15).

1990 Manual

I bought the Haynes Nissan/Datsun manual. I suppose the engine coverage is OK. However, the transmission and electrical/electronics sections are next to useless.

Even the tune-up and routine maintenance are very lacking.

I would never recommend the Haynes manual to anyone.
