Hello guy's, I have a question for you. I have an opportunity to purchase a 96-99 VG33 motor. It was pulled due to a rod bearing knocking (I'm sure it was neglected) so I thought about getting it. I have to rebuild my drag car, 84 300ZX Turbo, I had the heads tricked out earlier this year, but the stock bottom end has had enough. What I would like to do if it is possible is put the larger displacement 3.3L in my Z with the heads I already have. I guess the real question is, does the 3.0 and the 3.3 have the same block and head configuration? Will my heads work on a VG33? I don't mind being a Genie pig but I would like to see if anyone knows about this first. T I A

The VG33 is a bored and stroked VG30. So yes, it will probably work out allright for the bottom end, but I think the heads were different and the crank snouts are probably different as well.
