Unhappy Help Please! Transmission Trouble!!

Hey ya'll! Newbie to the forum but I have owned my 93 Kingcab since 95. He has 150,000 miles on his KA24E motor and auto trans. Three weeks ago he stopped pulling. I replaced the trans fillter and it seemed to cure the problem. About 200 miles have clicked over and I thought I had put it behind me. Until this afternoon. After a twenty mile trip I stopped and let it sit for about an hour. When I got back in it , NO REVERSE!! Here's the strange thing, it will go forward but not backward. Even with the engine off and in neutral!! I cannot even PUSH it backwards in any gear. It's like it's stuck in park! It will push forward but won't roll backwards. Never seen anything like it. Have you? Thanks in advance!

sounds like you broke something loose in the tranny that binds up when you push it backwards, either way i recomend taking it to the tranny shop as they are very dificult to repair, if it was a manual you could try but i dont recomend it.

Your transmission has died and needs a rebuild. Sorry. It will just get worse if you continue to drive it.

I checked with the Nissan dealer today. They don't offer a reman unit for my truck. A new one is over $3000
Jasper doesn't rebuild that trans either. Anyone know of a reputable rebuilder?
