Question help please

I have a 95 4x4 pickup with the 3000 v6 i am having idle problems and think it maybe the idle air control valve but I can't find it .
Does anyone know were it is located ? my repair manual calls it a IAA but no picture . please help

As far as I know, that valve is between the air-cleaner box and the induction manifold, somewhere close to the airbox.

Have you changed the air filter lately? Inside the air cleaner housing is a small cotton thingy. I don't know the tech name. It may be the term your using. Also there is a sensor on the throttle body platform. I believe it senses' air temp. The wires are very small and one might be broken.

this is a metal part that has a hose thbat connects and two wires to it .
It has some bolt holes that look like it may bolt to the block or intake .
This may help.
