Just bought a brand new 04 Pathfinder chinook (Canada). Anyone know if this vehicle requires premium fuel or will regular (87 octane) do? The owners manual says 87 is ok but recommends 91 octane.

Also, there seems to be quite a bit of windnoise even at low speeds. This vehicle only has 500km on it. IS it normal for this vehicle?

I have a US 01 Pathfinder, about the same. The manual recommends 91 octane fuel. We have the choice of 87, 89 and 93 at most gas stations. I usally alternate between 89 and 93 with no noticeable problems. The truck has a bit a wind and road noise, which I handle by turning up the music.
