need overheating advice

hello all i have a 93 hardbody with ka24e and around 100,000 miles on second engine recently the water pump failed and the truck overheated to point of self shut down. ive since replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator cap and fllushed and filled system. only to continue randomly overheating and coolant loss. my compresion tested as follows #1 125psi #2 140psi #3 130psi #4 135psi while this is low its allso fairly even across the board any ideas suggestions ect would be truelly apricieated

im at a loss

My friends 22re (yeah, a toyota) did the same thing. It would randomly overheat and loose coolant but the was no evidence of where it was going. Turns out when the water pump failed, it warped the head. Had head surfaced and cured the problem. I have also heard that the 22re head will warp if looked at crossways. Not sure about the Nissan but it is an idea.

I would agree on the head warping. An overheat so severe to kill the engine like that is a major event. Something that the aluminum head probably succumbed to. It's interesting that the compression is very similar across all cylinders. I would suspect that the head warped and/or the head gasket is beginning to fail in one or more cylinders. Either way, pulling the head is probably going to be the ultimate solution.
