After reading the project pathfinder article, and haveing towed a trailer for a long distance for the first time, I have come to realize very quickly that I must have more power. I know that they're aren't many power upgrades for the vg30e but I want to dod what I can, since there is not going to be a titan in my future for about 20+ years. I'm interested in the nismo cams that they used, and a set of headers. I saw the JWT cams listed for 560$, and the thorley headers for 350$. My wife will have a coronary. Anyone have any idea where I can get the nismo cams, and how much? Or the thorley headers or a comparable header cheaper?

Unfortunately that's what these modifications cost. You may be able to get a deal on used equipment or on groupbuys on this site.
Start with an intake and exhaust. You'll need those to get full benefits from cams anyhow. The JWT popcharger is your best bet for an intake, it's $159 new. You may be able to find someone to piece together a custom exhaust for <$300. Do those and save for the headers, and you'll have a pretty decent start.

I've already fabbed an intake and an exhaust without a cat. Right now the truck is all torn down. Hopefully cleaning the injectors, intake manifold and plenum and all of the related tubes,valves and hoses will get the dumb thing running correctly. I'll see how it tows after all of this, but I have the sneeking suspicion that I'm still going to need more power. I was just hoping to spend a little less. How about the nismo cams? Any ideas on where i can get a pair?
