2004 Frontier rapid clicking sound when disengaging clutch in 1st gear/sometimes 2nd.

I purchased a new Frontier XE 2wd-4cylinder and it developed this rapid clicking sound or something like, "didt-didt-didt" when diengaging the clutch from a starting position/sometimes in 2nd gear as well. It's a subtle sound but definitely there. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the master cylinder but no change.Immediately returned to them and they put it up on ramps. They tightened motor mounts, body bolts and snugged alot of things. They also took out the driveshaft and tried another new one. Again no change. They said they would try their tech site to diagnose this persistent noise problem.Wow, love this truck in every other way!Any thoughts out there on this?

Kasap, I also have a 04 2wd drive that does something similar to yours but mine does it when in first a second while acelerating. It seems to be getting quieter now that it has 10k on it. I think it has pretty good power for the engine size even with the truck weighing almost 3300 lbs. Just give it some time its probably nothing. These motors feel considerably stronger once you get about 8k on them. Mine when new felt weaker han my 97 hb with 150k on it and i really thought somthing was wrong but now that its loosened up its a different truck!

"Thanks" for your comment!

I've already got 7200 miles on it. No signs of it becoming quieter at all. You are absolutely right about the increase in power. The motor is starting to "open-up". I'm concerned that the dealer will start waffling on this as something unfixable and leave me up in the air. I'm a Nissan fan and don't doubt for a minute the quality of the drive train-just don't want to get stuck with a great truck that has noises that may get worse with time! Thanks again!
