'97 XE Front Center Caps?

I just bought a 97 Pathy with the cheap black plastic front (hollow) hubs missing. Anybody know where to pick them up CHEAP? I found some online for $21 each. Or, does anyone know if the metal ones (from an SE/LE?) would fit?

If you're talking about the black plastic caps that go 'round the hub, with the large hole in the middle for manual hubs, you should be able to find them in a salvage yard. I got a pair for my truck for 3 bucks. They were missing as well when I bought mine.

I lost one on my 97XE and couldn't find any in the junkyard locally. I found a set of 4 on ebay for about $20. Check on ebay, but this could be a good excuse to go to manual hubs so you won't need the center caps anymore.

Even with manual hubs, they still make a center cap for them:

You can kinda see them on that page. They look just like the solid black ones (in the rear). They engage the same way (by "clocking" them on, so the tabs engage under the lug nuts). The front ones just have a 3" hole in them or so...so you can turn the hubs to lock or free. Nice touch...and looks much better than having the bare hub sticking out there.

I'd have to disagree on the looks. I looked into modifying my caps for my 97. Basically you'd have to cut the original black plastic cap center completely out so that you just have the very outside circle. Then the manual hub still sticks out about an inch beyond the original black center cap (doesn't look like the King Cab hub extends that far past the original center cap). I just went with the plain hub look and IMO they look better without. Not that the original black center caps were exactly great looking to start with.

We must be talking about different style caps. The outer edge of the hub is flush with the hole in the cap on mine. I'll take a closeup pic and post it.
