Unhappy 2000 Frontier Crew Cab

New to the forum. My son just bought used Frontier. It has the 3.3 V6. Is it hard to change plugs and wires. Any thoughts are appreciated. Also he complained that the oil filter was a pain. Thanks

Changing the spark plugs in your 3.3 V6 is no easy task. Why is it so difficult? The pesky 6th plug that's located in an almost impossible to reach location. This is the process I used to get my 6th plug.

I used a 3/8 drive rachet, a 6" extension connected to a universal, connected to a nother 6" extension and a 5/8 Spark Plug Socket. Follow the spark plug wire back down as far as you can reach. Pull the wire straight off the plug. Take your wrench set up and go down the firewall where the wire was. It's going to take a few tries and some finessing to get the socket onto the plug. When you get the socket on the plug stuff some rags or a small block of wood between the firewall and the extensions to get the leverage you need to loosen the plug. The plug should come right out. Insert the new plug into the socket and carefully guide it into place. Be careful not to damage the gap on the new plug while re-installing.
