I would like to replace my thermostat in my '97 4 cyl. (the temp gauge is staying in the low zone).
I followed the top radiator hose to the block, but the housing there is too small to hold the thermo.
Just where is it located, and what must be removed to accomplish the task?
Thanks-
Bill Carroll
Thanks Jason. I thought if I followed the top rad hose to the block I would find it. I think it's behind the ps pump (based on other messagers on this board).
Thanks again-
Bill, you'll find it by following the bottom radiator hose to the block. There should be an aluminum water inlet, with three bolts to the block. Remove that and the thermostat should be right in there.
