since i bought my truck (93 shortbed regcab, ka24e, 2wd, manual everything), i have heard so many different opinions (and i say opinions because there were so many, and only 1 can be right) about how much these trucks weigh. i have heard anything from 2650 to 4200. my title says 2800, but that isn't necessarily accurate. if anybody knows how much my truck REALLY weighs, please let me know. thanks
Take a load to the dump and record the light weight! Me 2600 with driver.

The '95 brochure lists 2805 as the lightest curb weight of any truck, a 2wd E model. '93 should be very similar. I bet 2800 is very close to the dry weight of your truck. But do as Aaron says and have it measured to get your "true" rolling weight, with you and gasoline. But realize truck scales are usually calibrated for 20,000-80,000 pound weights. For it to be as much as 5% off at a weight of only 2800 pounds (which is a 140 lb. difference) wouldn't surprise me. Personally, I would acquire a '93 truck brochure (I got mine from eBay). You'll learn a LOT about the truck, and that's the only weight that I would trust as being accurate (or at least check the calibration/error of the particular vehicle scale you use).
the door stickers are the same as the numbers on the title ...4400gvwr, and the title says 2800 curb weight. if the gvwr is 4400 and the curb weight is 2800, that allows for one 200-lb passenger and a 1400-pound payload. that is pretty stout, but id believe it; these trucks seem to be pretty overbuilt, even for 3/4 ton weight ratings. any other inputs? i have been thinking about having it weighed, but never bothered
They do have a pretty good payload rating. And many of the 4x4 trucks have the H233B rear axle...that's over 9 INCHES in diameter...larger than the vaunted (and ubiquitous) Ford 9". The payload of these trucks is many times higher than 1/2 "full size" trucks. Pretty cool!
Be aware that many specs are averages. Options will increase the weight of a truck. Mine has no rear bumper, no rustproofing (AZ truck), no radio (when stock), bench seats, 4 cyl, P/S, A/C, manual everything, including tranny. The only real way is to weigh the truck on tire scales. This will tell you f/r weight bias, cross weight, and total weight alot more accurately than the truck scales. A local race shop should be able to help you out.
