What tires on your 96 -98

Hello. It looks like I'll be trading up, from my '92 Pathy to a '97. It's going to need new tires because none of the 4 match! I'm seeing conflicting info on what size should be on the '97......everything from 235/75/15 to 265/70/15. What are you guys putting on your STOCK wheels?

The stock wheels on the 97 XE is 235/70-15 I believe, also I checked out tirerack.com 's ratings and spec's and just purchased firestone destination le's which are great. I had Pirelli scorpions on it before, which were good, but I think the firestones, for the price perform better and should be better in the snow, they are all around rated within the top 3. I heard conflicting reports on the Bridgestone duelers, and the the michellin LTX are $$$$.

There should be a sticker on the drivers door / door jamb with the original stock tire size and rim size info on it. The rim size and clearance may dictate what tire size options you have. I have a 98 XE with the stock 235/70/15 tire. It appears Pathfinders can come with 6.0, 6.5, or 7.0 inch rims. I think the stock tire on the 7" rim is the 265/70/15 typically found on only the SE models. XE's and LE's came with the same stock size.

tires

I have a 01 PF, so can't help you with tire size. However, I just ordered 4 Michelin LTX from Costo.com. They have a $60 off a set of 4 Michelin, which is a good deal. Also, Costco prices online include installation.

Check it out it you have a membership.

Costco rules for tire prices. They special ordered Bridgestones for my Subaru and beat everybody's price. If what you want is not in their normal inventory, some locations are more then willing to special order directly from the manufacturer. Although the closest store to home is a PITA when it comes to that so I order from the store close to work. Look into Bridgestone Dueler Revo's, not the regular Dueler's. Highly regarded.
