Newbie here...considering purchasing/leasing 05 Pathfinder!

Howdy all

First post and would like some feedback on the the above (05 Pathfinder). I currently have a 01 Accord on lease and it's expiring on end Dec and with a growing family, we are thinking of buying/leasing a SUV (preferably with 3rd row seating).

Was really interested in the 04 v6 4Runner but after adding the options (DVD and 3rd row), the pricing was ridiculous. Plus the salesman was real rude as well. When he realized I wasn't gonna commit myself to a $38K+ that easily, he walked off while I was still having a conversation . Now the Nissan dealer is right opposite Toyota's so I thought I'd check out the Frontier double-cab.....at this point, I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA OF THE REDESIGNED 05 PATHFINDER!

We went over the Nissan showroom and walked right into a maroon 05 Pathfinder LE and my wife was like, 'we ain't buying a Armada'. Neither of us suspected that it a really a Pathfinder till we started talking to a salesman. Loved the customer service there BTW. We wanted to test-drive one but the dealer only had 3 in stock, one was being sold and the other one was not in the lot. But overall, we really liked both the spacey interior and 'armadish' exterior.

Anyway, Im also aware of the tech probs that Nissan had with the new Titans (warped rotors, etc) and would like some link/feedback as to whether these issues have been fixed or not on the Pathfinders.

I know this is a Nissan forum but honestly, would u guys choose a 05 Pathfinder over a certified MDX or v6 4Runner?

Any help/comments highly appreciated.

if the 3rd row seat is a main consideration then go with the pathfinder. it folds flat (unlike the swing away and remove style in the 4 runner) and it has a higher tow rating and more engine power than the 4 runner (v6 vs. v6). The 4 runner is a nice ride with available v8 power (but mpg to go with it) and it's been out for 2 years already (easier to negotiate). Good Luck!

I would probably lean to the 4runner since it has a had a couple years to get the new model bugs worked out and there will be more room to negotiate $$$.
