It's probably normal. Nissan engines typically have loud valvetrains. I've never met a Nissan where I couldn't hear it when it started. What kind of oil are you using? I would recommend a quality conventional oil, like Pennzoil or Havoline. Search for "oil" using the Search function, and you'll find tons of messages...even just in the Truck/SUV forum.
