04 Murano and XM Radio

I just bought a 2004 Murano SE for my wife. The only option it doesn't have is XM radio, the sales person told me that it would be 500.00 to add one.
That seems a little steep. Since it's pre-wired for it can I just buy the unit and install it myself? How much does the tuner cost?

Check out Courtsey Parts. I think they have it for like $200-250. I am going thru the samething.

yeah you have to run the antenna and it's wire to the rear of the roof (usually not hard just take your time and conceal the wire in panels and moldings)... then find a place to conceal and mount the small tuner box.. and then tap it into the power line for the radio and plug in the input! if you are nice to an installer at best buy or ultimate electronics they will usually give you a few pointers.
