My trasmission oil is low on my 98 pathfinder with 65K miles. I am planning to change the oil, any advice.

I am not planning to flush the system. I am planning to remove the oil through the drain plug & put new oil in.

First off, I advise you tell us whether it is an auto or manual.

Ok, I'll go out on a limb and assume an you have an automatic, if you have a manual ignore my post. When you drain the pan you'll get 4-4.25 qts of ATF out of the total 9qts, refill with same amount. Then drive and let the fluid mix and repeat. 4 drain and fills gets you to 90% new ATF.
