Tail gate for '95 pickup?

I have a '95 2wd pickup and I'm looking for a tail gate.

That's a pretty good site. Thanks for the info. The Pastor of Muppets is pretty darn funny.

There are typically a lot of new aftermarket knockoffs on eBay. Usually sell for about 125 with shipping. Watch for high crating costs and hidden fees. If you find a cheap place, or god forbid one in Cloud White (qm1?) Let me know... Thanks

My dad now has my Nissan truck. I never had a tail gate for it and he wanted to get one. So I found a seller on Ebay that had one. And they ended up going bankrupt. So far my dad's out 200 and no tailgate. Needless to say he's a little burned on Ebay.

I'm not giving up hope though. I have found some on other sites for around 300. That includes all hardware less shipping. I will keep an eye out. Let me know if you find something.

thanks,

$300??

$300 for a tailgate??

Call around to your local junk yards. If you can find one, it will be a fraction of that cost. They will typically give you the hardward needed to mount it.

I think JC Whitney had them pretty cheap. I'm not sure about hardware though, and I'm sure it's not painted.

Blitz,

You're right about the junk yards. And you can definitely find a good one. It is kind of hit and miss though. Especially here in San Diego. My parents live in Tulsa and it seems to be a little easier to find there.

After my dad got burned on Ebay he won't do anything on the net so he keeps calling the local junk yards. It is a pretty good deal as long as you're patient.

thanks for the info.
