only way I remember you can do that is by swapping in a pathfinder rear end, some of them came with rear disc brakes, I also remember an article in a magazine where they swapped a rear end from ( I think) a isuzu trooper?? It had rear discs and was very close to the width of the nissan rear

An H233B rear axle from a Pathfinder SE will swap in. You'll have to change axle housing, e-brake cables and master cylinder to match, though. If your HB only has the C200 rear axle to begin with, I wouldn't even mess with it. Pathfinders have a five-link and coil spring rear end setup whereas the HB's have leafs only. They didn't make any C200 rear diffs with disc brakes to my knowledge.

I just recently looked into this. I got a hold of someone who actually installed this setup in their truck. Here is what they had to say:

The rear end I got is is the H233B model with disc brakes and lsd. It came out of a 92 pathfinder se (4x4 I think). Its installed in the pathfinder with a 5-link and coil springs. This wasn't going to work for me so I cut off all the mounts and had it installed with a 4-link and bags. It is also wider than the stock rear in my 91 by about 5/8" overall. My e-brake isn't hooked up yet but a couple brackets of some sort will need to be made for that to work. Thats all I can think of right now.

I wonder if it be possible to weld all the brackets from the truck axle onto the pathfinder axle, I am good with a welder so thats no problem. Could that work?
