I did a oil change yesterday. i used castrol 10-30 gtx. and i used a Oil additive its pure pertrolium its a syntetic blend. You can buy it at Advance auto... i asked around and nobody said it would hurt my engine at all in the cold. We know thicker oils cause more problems when cold. its been pretty cold. They said nope it wont have any problems. Its Thick kinda like corn syrup.. They also said it would really Eliminate dry starts. Better than that new castrol start up oil or slick 50. My engine is soooo much quieter... I have hardly any Nocks or ticking . problem is its 14 bucks a quart. I will try to get the name of the Bottle. I left it at my parents house when i did a oil change. lol i never spent 29 bucks on a oil change before.

Sounds like Lucas... did the display in the store have little gears in a sealed case that you could turn, showing the additive sticking to the gear teeth?
