Lots of noise...

I was driving the other day in my 03 Frontier with the windows down and noticed my truck has started making a ton of racket down under the truck... here in lubbock the roads are horrible and I hear at least 3 if not 4 different creaks and rattle coming from under the truck. one rattle is a high pitched (metal on metal sounding) squeak and then I'm getting some kind of a low moaning/creaking from the back of the cab when I stop or make a sharp turn (like up into a driveway) has anybody else experienced this? I think i'll take it in since it hasn't been to the shop in a long while and have them look it over. oh I just hit 30k miles by the way.

later,

It's probably the rubber body mounts when turning in a driveway. If your truck is getting flexed more than what would be considered normal, I would suggest using a silicone based spray grease in all rubber body mounts, bushings etc under the truck and see if that quiets it down a bit.

a groaning noise when pulling into a driveway with the wheels turned all the way to one side or the other most likely is the steering stops rubbing on the steering stop brackets, look behind your front wheels you will see 2 bolts sticking out one in front of the wheel and one behind, these stops control how far the wheels turn, the bolts should have plastic caps on them to minimize the metal to metal sound, either way just put some axle type grease on the bolt heads and the bracket on the lower control arm.
