URGENT HELP NEEDED: How to get rear backing plate and wheel bearing off 89 Hardbody?

The 89 Hardbody I'm repairing needs a new rear axle shaft. I got a shaft off a 94 truck, and the shaft itself is the same, but the brake system is different. So I'm trying to swap backing plates and brake hardware. To do this I need to get the wheel bearing out so I can slide the backing plate off the axle. I have the axle out, and I've been banging away at the donor axle, the one I don't need the brake hardware from. I took the inner axle nut off, the one you tap around with a screwdriver. I took the lock ring out from under it as well. Seems like this thing should come apart. I've whacked so hard on the backing plate that it's almost destroyed, and the thing still hasn't budged. I need to get this truck out of my boss's shop on all 4 wheels ASAP. Any suggestions?

Goto your local autozone, O rileys, or equal, and get a manual....not flaming or anything but it would be easer than someome trying to explain it to you here.

Got everything squared away. Who needs a repair manual when you have a torch?

Bought a new bearing and seal, put it together, and the truck runs great. No wobble, straight as an arrow.
