Okay, I know this won't make my truck faster or stop better, but I hate these "elephant ear" mirrors. What can I use other than power mirrors off anouther truck? Without modification please.

You're asking how to change your mirrors to a different style without modifying anything? I think you're going to have to change some things around. There were only two styles that I know of...the one with the single pivot (non-power) and the break-away style (hinged at the mount) with the power mirrors. Since the doors are the same, I bet the power style would swap right over, even if you don't actually have them powered. I can take a picture of mine if it would help you decide.
Here are two pictures of my '95 mirrors. I've only seen these in chrome, and maybe only on 4x4 trucks, but I'm not sure. But I'm almost 100% positive if you could acquire the mirrors, and their bases, you'd be able to switch them on your truck...just by dismounting the old ones and mounting the new ones. I bet the drilled holes in the door frame are the same; but I haven't done the job before, so I couldn't tell you for sure.
