no dash lights

I have a 1994 hardbody and my dash lights have stoped working. Today I have noticed that my marker lights are not working. The head light operate however I have found it very difficult to drive in the dark without the dash lights, lol can anyone help?

Your tail lights probably aren't working either. Brake lights yes, taillights no. The switch for these is in the steering column.

Here is something you can try first. Turn your headlights on but push the turn signal lever forward into the high beam position and see if your parking/dash lights come on. If that doesn't work...

Did you install a stereo recently? The reason I ask is that when the parking lights aren't turned on, the power wire for them acts like a ground. If you didn't install a stereo recently but the truck does have an aftermarket stereo in it, pull it out and see if any of the wires are bare and potentially touching ground.

Also, check your fuses. There should be one for the dash lights if not for both dash and parking lights. Good luck!

Ok guys here is an update on the problem. First yes I have no marker lights at all front, rear, or dash. I Have checked all the fuses however all of them were good. I have tried pushing the signal arm into the high beam setting and it did not have any effect. I took the switch off and took it apart and found that the contacts were not making contact. So it has turned out that the switch is bad and needs to be replaced. Thank you all for all your help in this matter.
