I just want to send out a big thanks to this forum and if I remember correctly, nissannut. I just completed my first complete rebuild on my 1985 nissan 4x4 with a Z24I. I did this all by myself. One month and two books later, I finished YEAH! Well all seemed fine except for one thing. I had no power under a load. After searching all over the web I am soooo glad I found you guys!! I searched over any thread that had to do with timing and there it was! I think it's the 2nd or 3rd page about the oil pump gear being connected to the distributor gear (half moon). I followed the advice given and I couldn't be happier.

Oh yeah, I have three more of these. Two 2-wheel drives and one more 4x4. I'm storing this info in my memory bank because I know I'll have to use it on two of them.
