I would like to do a lift on my '98 Frontier, but I'm not sure what type of lift I should do (Suspension or body lift, or another kind of type if there is any). I don't know much about this and was hoping you guys could guide me in the right direction. I asked the guy at the dealership where I got my truck and he said it was pretty easy and I could do it myself, but didn't give me a lot of info on what I need to do. I'd like to raise the truck maybe 3".

A body lift is cheaper (and it looks it), but not always easier. I would suggest taking a visit to 4x4parts.com. They specialize in Nissan truck parts, and have everything you need to do it right (suspension lift).
Welcome to the forum, and let us know what you wind up doing!
Ok so I was talking with my g/f who knows some stuff about vehicles and she was saying ball joints would be the hard part of suspension lift if they are riveted. How would I know if the ones that come with the kit of the ones that are currently on my truck are riveted?
I dont know about the rivites. Cant help ya there. But with the body lift you will beable to put bigger tires on. The body lift will give ya more room under your wheels wells to fit the bigger tires. (Consult hear: http://www.nissanoffroad.net/article...guide/tire.asp )
If you go back to considering a suspention lift.
Pro: More sespention travel.
Con: more coastly.
From what Iv read over the last few months between forums is that with the bigger tires reguardless you will have excess wear on your stearing parts. Body lift Iv read a of people geting a few years out of certain parts. But with a suspention lift I read that the center link goes in less then a year. Based on the fact that the bigger tires put more stress on the whole stearing system. When Iv dissuced this on other forums everyone with suspention and body lift told me to get the Clamini stearing system. ( http://www.purenissan.com/nissanmain.htm )
And with a Suspension lift I wouldn't be able to get bigger tires?
Also the reason I asked about what size tires is because I want to know if I should look around. The guy from the dealership said he would sell me 265/15 all seasons for 40 bucks apiece since they are used. But if I can get bigger tires I'd like to go with size 33.
A 3 inch body lift will always give you more room for bigger tires than a 3 inch suspension lift. If you want to use 33's, you will need a suspension and a body lift to clear them. I am currently running 32's with my body lift, and still have issues with the tires rubbing the fenders on bigger bumps.
