rotor issue

I did a search about this and it seems that I have warped rotors. Basically when braking rapidly from high speeds my steering wheel shakes. When stopping at low speeds I find that the brakes seem to pulsate. I have already done the alignment and wheel balance and there is still an issue. Based on other suggestions from other threads, I either have to turn/surface (proper term?) the rotors or replace the rotors. I was going to get them turned/surfaced, but I was wondering if it's better to just replace them. Is this common for all rotors? If it's going to happen again with the original rotors, I rather just get new ones that have a less chance of this occurring. Oh yeah this is for an '01 pathfinder. What do you think? TIA!

From most posts it seems that the 99.5+ pathfinders have a bigger problem with warped rotors than the earlier models. My 97 has never had any problems. Once you turn them it might get rid of the warp but now you've got a higher chance of warping again since you've removed material.

Check out this link, might give you some ideas on upgraded rotors:
