Question Next Project!

Does any one have any experiance with computer mods for thier 02 and newer Fronties? I am looking into doing something for mine but not sure where to begin. I have a throtle body spacer on with a K&N drop in filter and having a MagnaFlow exausht installed within the next week. What about better Cat Converters? Any ideas on those?

do you have the NA 3.3 or the S/C 3.3 in your frontier. I wanna know if your K&N and Exhaust make a difference as i'm thinking about doing the same to mine (non S/C 3.3) to help it breath easier and get a little quicker throttle response.

Later,

Talking New Muffler installed

Well I got the new muffler installed and kept the same tail pipe. I got a Magnaflow center in / out 2 inch in / out Stainless Steal, mirror finished muffler. It performs great. I noticed a deeper sound through out the cabin both while driving and stopped. The HP has increased. Not sure how much because I have not had it Dyno tested. The pick up and go is much better both while stopped and while cruising down the road. I may go back later and have a chrome tip put on or even change the size of the tailpipe to 2.5 inches or so. I got it done at Oakleys Mufflers in Cameron NC. Their number is 910-245-3515. They did a great job and did it quick. I am very satisfied and pleased with the new muffler. I'll be testing it out all week and weekend.

Red face

I also put on a after market exauhst pipe tip. It is chrome and it looks great as well as adds to the deeper sound. I got it at Advance Auto for around $20. Any questions just post and I will reply.

The item up for discussion now is this:

I want to know if installing an aftermarket oil and gas radiator unit will increase the performace of my 02 Frontier Crew Cab / LB / non S/C 3.3L V6? I have just recently installed a new Magnaflow muffler to the stock exauhst system along with a exauhst tip. I also have installed a K&N Drop in air filter along with a throtle body spacer.

If I install these devices how much improvement am I looking at for the cost of the radiator and hose units? Do you have any recomendations for doing such projects like this?

If any one has any ideas or has done this before please let me know what you did, how hard it was, how much it cost you along with if you did it yourself or paid some one to do it, and what kind of performace you got out of it.

Thanks, Kris with the Tan 02 Crew Frontie
