dashboard gauges on my 1997 Frontier are dieing a slow death

The dashboard gauges on my 1997 Frontier are dieing a slow death. The temp. gauge is gone, the speedometer doesn’t go over 50 mph, the odometer reads 999,999 the tachometer and fuel are 50/50. Please tell me its a lose wire.

Wow sounds like either an ECU problem or a very bad and dirty connection. The ECU runs all that stuff , so either its on it's way out or there be a cockroach in there rewriting the motherboard........

Sounds like a bad ground at the cluster. All the above gauges ground by one conductor on the printed circuit that lines the back of your cluster. Check it for resistance to ground. I cannot remeber how many power wires run the cluster, but you may check that as well.
